A project commissioned by the OICCU (Oxford Inter-Collegiate Christian Union). For this, we were tasked with producing a promotional video, a magazine, and an recap event video.
What does it look like to capture the unspoken questions, and unanswered cries of the contemporary individual? The longing for Eden as we wander East of it. This is what we tried to capture with this project.

Rowing is dynamic. It balances extreme control, with the carnal aggression; individual focus with a unified mind; meticulous strategy with brute strength. But most importantly, it requires the full dedication of mind, body, and soul in order to win. Whether it is on water or on the land, a rower must lean into the pain to come out the other side victorious.
This dynamism, tension, and force is what we tried to capture with this short film for Pembroke College Boat Club of Oxford University.

While the world was going about it's own business, Dan was busy getting hitched... and apparently stole the equipment and ran around the beautiful country of Italy for abit.
This is a short devotion to Charlotte Kim - my delight, wonder, and my wife. For those who are not so fluent in Italian, Luna Di Miele is the word for "Honeymoon" - as it were this short was almost entirely filmed, cut and edited during our time away.
"Like the first man - I was cut so deep my heaven's knife
When I awoke from my dream - Oh my Lord!
She's beautiful, she's a part of me...
She's my wife"

An exploration of a singer-songwriter, spoken word artist, and an apprentice of Jesus.
The spirit of the age decries that we constantly distract ourselves from the bottomless truth of emptiness and meaninglessness, ticking our time over until it has run out, and fruitlessly hoping that in walking the same patterns as all our ancestors before us, we may find a different result.
What if this story is the fantasy, and the so-called fantasy that we long for is reality?
Roving Souls tells a story of wandering and yearning for a place truly free from darkness, and beyond the secret weight each soul is carrying.
"...Let the veil fall and the sky open up
May we lay down our pride
And the things of this world that we never understood
but clawed after anyway
And let the illumination of this yearning beacon penetrate
the marina trenches of our ocean hearts
Allow this homeward wind to blow off the accumulated dust
From the chests of our secret hurts and hidden disappointments
And break down the walls of our restricted realities..."
Working on this project was so much fun, it allowed Jake to flex so many of his skills, video production, motion graphic, logos. It was a brilliant opportunity to work with a company that changes so many lives.
Wonderfully Made is BMS World Mission’s new harvest resource, focusing on children who are being helped by BMS nurse Judy Cook at Hope Home in Chiang Mai, Thailand.
Adventure Man (aka Tada), Captain Kindness (aka Natalie) and Mr Determined (aka Phil) have faced a lot of challenges in their short lives. They were all either orphaned or abandoned by their parents when they were very young, and they are growing up with disabilities in a country where the disabled are often viewed as a curse or the result of bad karma.
We know that Tada, Natalie and Phil are ‘fearfully and wonderfully made’ – and thanks to your giving, they know that too!

Pangolin is a 7-strong band based in Oxford, UK. Formed in early 2016, it aims to explore and exploit the natural overlaps between funk, jazz, soul and hiphop, developing original works that juxtapose virtuosic vocal lines and florid instrumental solos with searing spoken word and finger-tight grooves.
They are incredible, so check them out:
Over my years as a photographer and film maker I have had the privilege to work in some incredible countries. Black and white photography has been a great challenge for me in the past and traveling through this amazing continent I made it my mission to produce my best work. This selection of moments have been some of my favourites and I hope you like them too.
Aspect Events asked us to come to them with ideas for their new branding set up. Through days of consolation and deigns iterations this is the final result. Simple and with modern style influence this streamline design design fits perfectly on their ethos and style.
The internship at st Aldates is wonderful programme invested in developing faith, skill and leadership in young people. It was such a blessing to be able to promote and develop an upbeat and creative project with them.
Headshots for a magazine can be bland, boring and samey. Not this one. We went for a more dynamic style to give the image colour, depth and unique flare.
